Educated in architecture, Emilio is fascinated by how designers of all types visualize their work. This can be especially tricky with technology engineering, since systems are often designed to be invisible. Emilio's life calling is to bridge the gap between idea and reality by creating drawings, renderings, and models that help clients and design teams picture how technology and architecture integrate. Along the way, he aims to help establish design principles that elevate both professions.
An engineer was born when Gil’s grandfather gave him an electronics kit and a set of precision tools for his 10th birthday. Also influenced by his engineer father, Gil quickly discovered how things work and how to modify them to fit a specific purpose, sometimes even one unintended by the original design. That early-acquired mindset, paired with instinctual imagination and formal schooling, armed Gil with the tools he uses in his career and daily work at TEECOM.
Jake is TEECOM’s R&D Hardware Engineer. Given a concept, he steps back to analyze how everything works, and then dives in to explore how he can elevate the user experience. With the research team’s goal to innovate the next era of interfacing with buildings, Jake’s objective is to identify problems before they exist in order to design solutions for the future.
