Buildings + Technology
A graduate from Cal Poly SLO in civil engineering, Dan forged a career in low-voltage design by participating in TEECOM’s summer internship program, TEECOMuniversity. His interest in engineering and tall buildings derived from an upbringing in Seoul, South Korea, where architecture often pushes the boundaries. As a designer at TEECOM, Dan enjoys producing high-quality technical documentation for building design, as well as exploring how technology can optimize the built environment.
Another way Dan likes to catch up with friends is to go out to shows in San Jose or San Francisco. Being in good company dancing to hip-hop or EDM (Electronic Dance Music) is his kind of weekend.
It’s no secret: Dan loves to eat. When craving a nostalgic taste of home, Korean food is his go-to, but he loves all things BBQ. He likes going on food adventures to try a bit here and there at all the new places. His favorite spot in Oakland is Dan Sung Sa (spicy fried chicken) and his signature dish to make is steak. Nom.
He’s a gamer! Gaming gives Dan a way to connect with friends and burn off the work day. He prefers the immersive experience of first- or third-person shooter games. Some of his favorites are PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (P.U.B.G.), Counter-Strike, and Overwatch.
