Although he started in banking, Jerry learned early on that he wasn’t very interested in sitting on money: he wanted to be where the growth was happening. His fascination for structuring financial systems and data analytics makes him a natural fit at TEECOM, where he leverages his start-up and Fortune 500 experience to drive the firm’s continued managed expansion.
Holding the Edge
Growing up just outside of Denver, Colorado, Jerry picked up both snow and water skiing. His childhood ski haunts, which he still loves to visit, were Loveland, Winter Park, and Breckenridge. He’s not as snow-crazy as he used to be, he says, but he still enjoys a nice steep run. Now that he’s based in California, he plans to break out his water skis again; the landings are a little softer.
In his free time, Jerry enjoys another kind of driving: muscle cars. It’s an interest that dates back to his childhood, when he worked on cars with his dad. Over the years, Jerry has owned a Studebaker “Super Lark,” a Buick Grand National, a couple of Corvettes, and a Buick GS Stage 1 convertible (which he wishes he had kept). He also once started, but didn’t quite finish, building a hot rod from an Austin Bantam coupe.
Beach. Family. Sports. For Jerry, who is married with two daughters, these are the ingredients of a perfect vacation. The ultimate family holiday for him was a trip to Turks and Caicos Islands when his daughters were in high school. They snorkeled, parasailed, dove for conchs, and sailed in the bay. The family has since been to a lot of places, including France and the UK, but Turks and Caicos remains a special memory.
