Cooking Up Memories
When Paul moved to the Bay Area, his whole outlook on food transformed. Paul always enjoyed eating food, but suddenly he had a newfound interest in cooking as well. Cooking is one of the few activities that engages all five senses–taste, sight, touch, smell, hearing–at once. Paul believes that this sensory loaded experience creates strong memory associations, making cooking a fun way to capture memories.
Settlers of Catan
While Paul does enjoy all sorts of board games, he’s specifically a Settlers of Catan fiend. Ever since it first came out, Paul feverishly plays with any willing person and never tires of it, because he learns new techniques and strategies each time he plays. While many people claim that Monopoly is all about economics, Paul believes that Settlers of Catan takes the cake as the ultimate economics game, as it ties in supply and demand, trading, and strategy.
Escaping the Calamity
One day Paul was riding his bike around the neighborhood and noticed a disc golf course nearby. Next thing he knew, Paul was online buying some used discs. For Paul, disc golf is a low stakes sport that aids him in relaxing and escaping the calamity that comes with work and living in a city. Paul also embraces that disc golf draws him outdoors to enjoy nature.
