Sherif started his career in telecommunications as a network and telecommunications system engineer. Since everything was moving toward IP, he transitioned into designing integrated security systems. Knowing every client has different needs, Sherif thrives on finding solutions to challenges such as, “How do we upgrade our current system to be fully IP?” or, “How can we integrate and connect our system to a different platform?” or, “How can we fully secure our premises and buildings?” As a senior engineer for corporate clients coming from a data center background, he leverages his extensive infrastructure knowledge to expand his clients’ vision while maintaining quality, value, and safety in design.
Since Sherif was young, he was obsessed with comics: reading, collecting, getting lost in them. Every Wednesday consists of a trip to the comic store and temporary escape from reality with each read. It’s become an expensive hobby as he collects very valuable first appearance (FA) comics that introduce characters for the first time and are highly rated. His favorites are Spider-Man #300 (FA Venom), Hulk #181 (FA Wolverine), and the holy grail of comics, Action Comics #1 (FA Superman), of which he possesses a reprint. The amazing thing about Superman, he says, is the ability to fly wherever, whenever, and having the ability to help people without getting hurt.
Sherif spent a year in the U.S Army, and the self-discipline he learned there led to his main passion, bodybuilding. It’s an art and a science as he constructs 16-week routines that consist of vigorous workouts, counting daily protein and carb intake, planning all his meals, tracking the progress, adjusting, and then doing it all over again. He’s always searching for new ways to burn the fat around the muscle and get the right definition as he trains with purpose, striving for perfection.
Family comes first for Sherif. He gets to the office at 7:00 am not only to beat rush hour, but to be home in time to get some quality time with his wife and young son. Sherif and Benedict (his son) go on walks and both share a deep love for chocolate. They have relocated from Florida to California, so they enjoy exploring all parts of the Bay Area, from Pier 39 to Benedict’s first trip to the snow.
