Engineer at Heart
When Tim learned about TEECOM two years ago, he began eagerly seeking an opening for a Designer. When the position opened up, TEECOM knew he was the man for the job. Previously, Tim was a manufacturing engineer at a robotics company, but is glad he made the switch. He enjoys the fun company culture, visiting job sites, and perfecting his AutoCad and Revit skills.
Even though Tim thinks he would hear crickets if he ever attempted to crack jokes on stage, he sure does appreciate the talent of established stand up comedians like Rory Scovel. Among the comedy clubs Tim frequents are Punch Line, Cobb’s, and The New Parish. Free amateur stand-up shows are easy to come by in the city too and you can’t beat free fun!
In graduate school at UOP, Tim built robots as a hobby. He and a professor would build the bots and then create code for the Programmable Logic Controllers — mini computers that make the robots do what they’re programmed to. Imagine a robot that cleans and does the dishes for you!
He comes from a family of San Francisco Giants fans, but Tim loves his Oakland A’s. He made the big switch in high school in allegiance with two of his best friends who were A’s fans. Tim goes to at least 10 games a year, and if he’s not at the stadium on a game night, he’s checking his phone for the score and highlights on the ESPN app.
