Data Center Design
Todd earned his telecommunications design chops out in the field, where he installed data cable for a few years before trading in his ladder for a chair. His field experience has given him a kind of sixth sense for cable design-for-constructability, which serves him well in developing the high quality integrated technology solutions TEECOM’s clients demand, particularly for complex projects such as data centers.
Recently, a disc golf course opened near the family’s house, and Todd and his kids have developed a new outdoor obsession. There’s definitely a learning curve with disc golf, says Todd. Fortunately, since the course is in a park, the kids can enjoy the play structures while Todd tries to determine exactly which tree has eaten the disc this time.
With four kids, Todd’s family is more than halfway to a baseball team. The Schenbeck All-Stars, perhaps? He answers to “coach” most months out of the year, toting the clipboard for little league baseball. And with a son who is just about ready to start playing tackle football, Coach Todd is gearing up for new arenas.
Depth of Field
When he’s not coaching, Todd trades in his clipboard for a camera lanyard. He picked up photography as a hobby from his dad, and developed his eye by taking architectural or cityscape shots in downtown Portland. Nowadays his subjects are a little more active: he’s the sports documentarian for his kids. He tries to capture the action all season long so that he can create an end-of-the-year slide show complete with a soundtrack for the whole team.
