With a background in journalism, Traci asks the tough questions necessary to translate engineer-ese to English. Whether she’s interviewing telecom staff about the mysteries of cabling or tweeting about tech trends, she thrives on the challenge of learning new things and always has her “reporter hat” on. She manages TEECOM’s digital marketing strategy and brand proposition with the goal of conveying the firm’s passion for integrating technology and architecture through people-centered design.
Science on the Screen
Traci’s childhood hero is Carl Sagan. She once owned a “Carl Sagan is My Homeboy” t-shirt. To this day she’ll drop whatever she’s doing to watch a compelling science documentary. She’s particularly mesmerized by astronomy, archeology, and marine biology – three areas that emphasize that our planet is beautiful, unique, and indelibly affected by human progress.
Since she lives atop a hill in San Francisco (Bernal Heights), pretty much any walk is a hike for Traci, and she’s developed a passion for exploring all the peaks and promontories in the city. Weekends often find her hiking the city’s famous-but-hidden urban steps with her husband and daughter, in search of the perfect view.
Sculpting with Succulents
Traci also gets a slice of nature through gardening. Her back deck is a test ground for “living wall” vertical succulent planters. These sculptural plantings satisfy Traci’s artistic and horticultural inclinations. She experiments with different succulent species to add texture and color to the planting arrangements.
