Among Tyler’s many professional assets, the ability to identify a client’s business requirements stands out. Tyler honed this skill working for a global shopping center developer, where he learned to ask the right questions of clients in order to assess their pain points and business critical goals. His repeat clients attest to Tyler’s ability to hone in on core technology requirements and to develop appropriate standards, construction specs, and contract drawings. Tyler’s client-centered approach makes him a great fit for TEECOM, where his goal is to translate business needs into technology solutions that deliver real ROI.
Tyler has twin three-year-old daughters, and needless to say they are his other full-time job. Their favorite activities are Disneyland, playing at the park, and swimming. Swimming is a workout for Tyler, too, since he plays lifeguard, entertainer, and swim teacher to two young girls at the same time. At the end of his day he loves curling up on the couch with his daughters and reading their favorite book to them.
When the goal is exercise after a long day at work, Tyler heads for the soccer (or football) pitch. He’s played for more than 25 years, and belongs to two different recreational leagues in his hometown of Los Angeles, California. Tyler’s twin daughters like to frequent his Sunday soccer games and cheer him on from the sidelines.
While studying electrical engineering at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, Tyler lived on the beach in a house full of surfers. He found his way to the waves, and loved it — even though the learning curve was as steep as some of the swells. “The first month I just got worked over by the waves and couldn’t stand up,” he says, “After a month or two I could finally stand.” These days he surfs exotic locations like El Salvador and Indonesia.
