OverviewLowe Enterprises North First Street TEECOM

Lowe Enterprises is constructing a 43-acre multiphase development for office space in San Jose, CA. This new campus encompasses nine office buildings that range from 150,000 sf to 350,000 sf, with a typical floor ranging from 30,000 sf to 45,000 sf. The entire campus is designed with integrated sustainable systems. The campus will also offer a centralized amenities building that will contain a conference center, cafe, and fitness center. The campus also has multiple outdoor amenities—plazas, courtyards, and parks where people can come together.

A multi-level network of both common and dedicated campus infrastructure runs underground. Public service providers traverse one multi-channel pathway among buildings and across the campus, while the campus networks traverse a separate and dedicated infrastructure. Common fiber and copper cabling criss-cross this network of conduit and manholes to create dynamic and flexible patching environments between buildings. At any time, a service can be activated or removed from any building on campus.

Benefit to the Client

Through our strategic master plan, the client eliminated redundancy and leveraged common low-voltage infrastructure, allowing for the most efficient phased deployment while providing the greatest flexibility to the owner and its properties.

For example, the campus infrastructure is designed to allow the owner to sell or lease properties either by a fraction of each floor, by multiple floors, by the building, or by multiple buildings through identical supporting infrastructure. Lowe Enterprises may also option to sell any building or number of buildings without compromising technology services to any other property on the campus.
