Since TEECOM was established in 1997, giving back has been a continuous top priority within our organization. We strive to provide our employees with multiple opportunities throughout each year to volunteer, donate, and support local organizations. Our giving back program, TEECOMcares, aligns with our organization’s core principles: demonstrate that we care; establish and maintain trust; and add value. With the year of 2015 coming to a close and the holiday season in full force, we wanted to take a look back at our year of giving.
Ways We Give Back
TEECOM supports over 20 local organizations and charities every year. In 2015, TEECOM sponsored, volunteered, and raised funds for the Bike to Hope event and the Fight for Air Climb event as well as held supply drives throughout the year supporting Alameda County Community Food Bank, Architectural Foundation of San Francisco, Toys for Tots, and Wardrobe for Opportunity. In addition to organized events and drives, TEECOM sponsored many organizations including AIA San Francisco, ASIS International, CoreNet, International Partnering Institute, Leap, Livable City, MLK Freedom Center, Serenity House, and SMPS San Francisco Bay Area Chapter.
In April, TEECOM held its Annual Earth Day event at Lafayette Square Park in Oakland, bringing together over 20 A/E/C firms and 150 volunteers to help revitalize the park. We Match Dollar for Dollar
TEECOM’s Matching Donation program supports the organizations that our employees care about most. When an employee donates to a charity of his or her choice, TEECOM matches that donation dollar for dollar. We also match donations made to our fundraising pages such as Bike to Hope, Fight for Air Climb, and our Virtual Food Drive for the Alameda County Community Food Bank. In FY2015, we matched over $17,000 through our Matching Donation program.
