Technology infrastructure for industrial and manufacturing facilities faces stringent and complex requirements. Telecommunications, security, audiovisual, and wireless systems must operate efficiently throughout the facility, including cleanrooms, corrosive environments, and classified spaces (Class 1 Division 2 spaces).
We leverage many years of experience in designing for industrial environments and applying the codes and standards for these environments. Our experience includes more than 1,000,000 sf of cleanroom design for semiconductor manufacturing and more than 1,000,000 sf of industrial manufacturing, central utility buildings, and industrial plant.
Our approach to design is to understand each system we are supporting, our client’s criteria, and the environment the system has to perform in. A typical industrial facility will have multiple systems that need to be networked. Each may have their own criteria for performance, redundancy, or separation from other systems. Some systems will be in buildings; others may be in outdoor or hazardous environments.
Services and Expertise
We provide telecom systems that support a range of process-specific functions, such as facility management controls systems (FMS or FMCS), power monitoring, battery monitoring, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), manufacturing automation, gas control, bulk chemical delivery, and a variety of monitoring systems for toxic gasses or microcontamination.
We design security systems in multiple layers to detect, track, and detain intruders. These systems protect the property of facilities as large as 100 acres and mitigate risk to neighboring areas. We design audiovisual systems to facilitate communication within the facility and also convey facility status information, automation tool status, or work in process.
