Mission critical facilities face greater infrastructure demands than ever before. The need for multi-functional, secure storage means designing resource-efficient data centers that are both agile and operationally transparent.
TEECOM’s data center client portfolio is extensive, including work with Equinix, PeopleSoft (now Oracle), and Symantec. We are currently providing IT consulting and security and telecom design engineering for a number of highly confidential hyperscale clients at more than 30 project locations worldwide. Each project campus has between three and twelve 30+mw data center facilities, housing tens of thousands of servers. We have provided design and engineering on more than 20,000,000 sf.
Our team provides custom design at a rapid pace, backed by detailed engineering documentation. This high-quality documentation speeds interdisciplinary, cross-team understanding of project requirements. We design multi-tiered pathways and prepare cabling construction documents for a robust fabric network, as well as provide technology consulting for the administrative centers included in many of these data centers.
We have a unique ability to translate network diagrams into high-quality cabling construction documents, including cable schedules, routing diagrams, rack elevations, and pathway coordination. We bring a detailed understanding of building code on a comprehensive regional basis, and we align client requirements with local building code regulations. We help clients develop new or updated technology standards.
Converged Network Design
TEECOM delivers multiple benefits to our clients through converged network design. Significant cost savings on labor and materials result from the use of less cabling, cable tray, and space. Migrating different technology systems onto a common infrastructure reduces maintenance and monitoring requirements, thereby lowering operating costs. Systems like energy management, building management, power management, lighting control, CCTV, access control, alarm monitoring, and data center infrastructure management can be converged into an overall integrated control and monitoring system using various standard industry protocols and networking technologies that provide the optimal balance between cost, cybersecurity, and future flexibility.
