Aitor is no stranger to design, but was new to working with technology systems within BIM such as telecom, AV and security. With a three-dimensional mindset and a wealth of experience in construction, architecture, mechanical, and industrial design, he was able to jump right in at TEECOM. His focus is on corporate security design, where he analyzes the building, identifies the access points, and works with engineers to find the best way to secure it and ensure optimal use for the occupants. Aitor thrives on learning new things and being challenged. Ultimately, it’s all BIM, and he takes on challenges by asking lots of questions, applying his knowledge, converging the different disciplines, and connecting the dots.
Crafts of All Sizes
From arts and crafts to DIY projects, Aitor enjoys working with his hands and creating. Growing up, his father would buy him plastic models of planes, spaceships, cars, and other random figures that he could assemble and paint. He continues to work on those crafts along with bigger projects like building his own backyard patio with recycled bricks from an abandoned greenhouse while living in Missouri.
It Just Clicks
Photography is Aitor’s main passion and takes up most of his free time. From macro to astrophotography to infrared, he has tried all types of photography. Along the way, he has discovered a newfound love for wilderness camping as he searches for the best location to take photos. For the past few years, he has used his vacation time to travel around North and Central America, Iceland, Europe, Asia and South Africa, camping and capturing beauty wherever he can.
Cooking is more than just a daily essential for Aitor. It’s a pastime he shares with his mother, who has been cooking since she was six years old and taught him the basics. Then, he spent some time living abroad in Finland where he really began cooking and feeling like a bona fide chef. Cooking has become a huge part of his life and he is always trying new recipes and techniques for delicious meals to share with friends.
