Future Project Manager
Straight out of college, Alex joined TEECOM’s telecom department and over the years worked his way up to a Design Engineer role. Ultimately, Alex’s goal is to strengthen and broaden his skill set to prepare for a future in project management. Alex’s love for learning and sharing knowledge makes him an invaluable member of the TEEm.
During an extended stay in Mexico, Alex became impressively fluent in Spanish. In fact, he picked up the language so quickly that a cab driver barely believed him when Alex admitted he had only lived in Mexico for a few months. Having a local compliment him on his Spanish is one of Alex’s proudest moments. However, Alex still has a sense of humor about learning a new language, since he has made his fair share of hilarious (and embarrassing!) mistakes. His next mission it to master Chinese or German.
Undeniably, Alex is an athlete. Since he was 13 years old, Alex competed in both cross country and track, where he discovered his passion for running. Due to his hard work and dedication throughout his teenage years, Alex continued competing in races during his college career at UC Santa Barbara. Today, Alex has moved away from the track to train for marathons. You can find him racing down city streets, or his preferred choice, down a nature trail. Running pushes Alex to stay fit and mentally sharp.
Alex craves the simplicity and adventure of traveling. He prefers to stay in hostels to extend the length of his trip rather than waste his traveling funds on fancy resorts. During a three month trip to Europe, Alex got in touch with his native roots by visiting Greece and Turkey to meet some of his long lost relatives. Escaping his everyday routine to travel and experience a new way of life gets Alex’s creative juices flowing, aiding him to better understand himself and the world around him.
