As an AV Design Engineer at TEECOM, Josh focuses on education and the global view of all technology integrating together. Josh’s diverse AV background allows him to understand the perspective of the end user, manufacturer, integrator, and each party involved in a project. This well-rounded knowledge enables Josh to be an effective consultant, serve as Editor-in-Chief for AVNation, and develop into a leader within the AV industry.
Musical theater has played a role in Josh’s life since he was four years old. It inspired him to learn bass guitar, perform in his high school band, and graduate into pit orchestras as an adult. Multiple times a year, Josh travels across the country to see shows such as Hamilton, Newsies, She Loves Me, and Evil Dead on Broadway. He finds the recent movie transition musicals fun, obscure, and utterly entertaining.
Josh has an odd obsession with Disney’s Jungle Cruise, and he’s not ashamed to own it. He’s forked out the big bucks to have breakfast on the ride and collects unique, limited edition Jungle Cruise inspired artwork. The ride relies heavily on puns and language to entertain its guests, which Josh has connected with on an intellectual level since he was a child.
Whiskies Of The World
The first bottle of whisky Josh owned was a Macallan 12 gifted by his father. Now Josh collects the rarest whiskies in the world. Every year, he attends the Whiskies of the World Expo, where distillers share their finest spirits with fellow whisky enthusiasts. As far as preferences go, some of Josh’s favorites are Irish whiskey, sherry cask Scotch whisky, and American Rye whiskey.
