Giving back to our community has been a top priority since TEECOM was established and has led to our firm being recognized among the Top 100 Corporate Philanthropists by the San Francisco Business Times for the past three years. Through our TEECOMcares program, we volunteer in our local food banks, sponsor and participate in annual charity events such as Bike to Hope and UCSF Benioff Concert for the Children, host supply drives such as our annual toy drive supporting Toys for Tots, and match staff donations to charitable organizations. Learn more about our giving back efforts on our blog.

TEECOM worked with Chailey Heritage Foundation and 7thSense Design / Medialon to help deliver the D.R.E.A.M. Centre. Chailey provides schooling and residential care for children and young adults with complex physical disabilities, high health needs, sensory impairments, and associated learning difficulties. Partly through innovative AV design, this groundbreaking facility makes a range of activities accessible to these children and young adults on their campus, including 4D immersive experiences simulating travel around the world, wheelchair sports, rebound therapy, theatre, and a cinema.

TEECOM is a California Certified Green Business. We are committed to working toward carbon neutrality.

Annual Earth Day Event

Since 2014, TEECOM has organized an annual Earth Day event with community groups in our headquarters city of Oakland to improve the local environment. In 2014 and 2015, we partnered with the City of Oakland to revitalize a public park located blocks from our headquarters. We partnered with Urban Releaf in 2016, 2017, and 2018 and have planted over 100 trees in downtown Oakland. In 2019, we teamed with Save the Bay to clean up trash and remove invasive plants from the bay. In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic prevented our usual activity but helped us think about what it would take to achieve a lower-carbon world.
