Future-forward State of Mind
Chris was a 2D CAD drafter in the early 2000s when Revit came along. He was an early convert. Chris helped implement the new tool at an MEP firm (bringing their Revit projects from zero to sixty in four years), revamped templates and standards at an architecture firm, and then instructed at the reseller level. He has a passion for teaching and says his favorite part is witnessing those student “aha” moments. Taking a shift in direction, he now hones his advanced skills to contribute to our projects, back in the production side of BIM and focusing on peer-to-peer mentorship.
Finding what’s new when it comes to gadgets and software is a passion for Chris. Technology is so embedded in our lives and has paved the way for his career. Keeping track of where it’s headed is essential… and fun! Who doesn’t love finding a new toy? He also likes searching for the newest podcasts, which have replaced the radio and TV as his go-to entertainment. When it comes to knocking out tasks, he likes discovering new tools or web apps for lists and projects.

Chris married his high school sweetheart. They partied throughout the 90s; now he is a hardcore family guy and his wife holds a Ph.D. in higher education. Seven years into marriage, they had twins. Chris’s two teenagers are gearing up for college and they are his favorite conversationalists, inheriting their intelligence from their mother. As a family, they enjoy cooking together, going out to eat, discussing life, and learning new things.
Chris is originally from Nebraska and therefore a proud Cornhusker, following the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) since he was six years old. Come football season, his family knows where to find him every Saturday: watching the game. Whenever he ventures back to his hometown, he is guaranteed a family and high school reunion cheering on the Cornhuskers.
