Growing up, Jeremy was inspired by home improvement shows and drawn to interior design. He made the decision to pursue architecture at the age of 14 and was amazed by the ability to see 3D models come to life. Now as a BIM Specialist working with technology systems, the quantity and tangibility of each element in a building’s design has been elevated for him. Jeremy finds excitement working in tech design, including telecom, security, and audiovisual systems, and finds these systems becoming a bigger part of the construction process as a whole.
Mongolia on My Mind
Jeremy was born and raised in Mongolia, which is known for its broad, rugged expanses and nomadic culture. With small cities separated by vast countryside, Jeremy has fond memories of camping in peaceful nature settings and wide open spaces. Now, he tries to hit the outdoors or travel whenever possible and maintain that wanderlust he grew up with.
Hoop It Up
One of Jeremy’s favorite ways to spend his free time is on the court. He’s part of an Oakland-based basketball league of twelve teams playing every Sunday. It’s a great way to hang out with friends, meet new ones, and stay active. He’s also a huge Golden State Warriors fan and tries to catch any upcoming games to cheer them on.
Cars + Tech
Outside of work, Jeremy’s creativity focuses on two things: cars and technology. He avidly keeps up with the car market, learning about new automotive technologies and features. He also spends time researching how to make improvements to on his own car. If there’s a local car show, he’ll check it out to see what else is out there. When it comes to technology, he’s into “the next thing.” Tech is moving so fast and there’s so much to discover, the possibilities are endless. Thinking of cars and technology, he’s fascinated by the new processes, gadgets, and what is to come year after year.
