Data tells a story. As Director of Data Engineering at TEECOM, Sana’s mission is to find the data sources, load the data, and dissect the narrative. She works to wrangle TEECOM’s multiple data channels into a universal internal dashboard where it’s easy for staff to find facts and see predictions, helping us help our clients more quickly and effectively. As part of the TEECOMlabs team, she’s also learning Rails for front-end development and diving into the whole modern analytics conversation.
Sana credits supermodel Chrissy Teigen’s cookbooks for igniting her interest in cooking. “They’re quick 20-minute recipes but it’s an actual hearty meal,” she says. As the only vegetarian in a family of meat-lovers, Sana turned to cooking out of necessity, but she’s developed a true enjoyment of the ability to blend flavors. Plus, she says, it gives her an excuse to peruse cooking stores, because, as we know, it’s all about the tools.

When not immersed in numbers, Sana throws on a tutu and takes off. That’s because she’s really into running Disney-organized 10ks, marathons, and half-marathons through the runDisney organization. Sana has run races at Disney World every year for the past five years, and she did the Dopey Challenge this year, which is all the races back-to-back over four days. The events build camaraderie with a training team, and are targeted toward amateurs. Sana’s team always dresses up, whether it’s in tutus or as Winnie the Pooh.
Digital photos are fine, but the best way to record memories, says Sana, is scrapbooking. Sana has created scrapbooks for the major milestones in her life as well as for her friends and family. Among her favorites is the one she made for her sister’s graduation from medical school, created using pages from the Dr. Seuss book, Oh the Places You’ll Go.
