CSU Sonoma State University Stevenson Hall
Challenge
Sonoma State University, dedicated to social equity, diversity, and inclusion, sought an interdisciplinary space to advance these values. Stevenson Hall, constructed in the 1960s, required renovations to better reflect and uphold these principles.
Solutions
Undergoing a complete renovation and structural rehabilitation, adding 10,000 sf to the existing building, Stevenson Hall is the largest academic building on campus. TEECOM developed a robust telecom infrastructure, audiovisual array, acoustics spaces, and security systems for the building. Acoustic work was done in a large 200+ seat lecture theater to modernize and design the teaching space for speech intelligibility. The space also met LEED requirements for acoustics.
