Oakland International Airport Terminal 1 Renovation – Phase 1
Oakland, CA
Overview
Oakland International Airport renovated its circa 1960 260,000 sf Terminal 1 building. The Port had supported this building with the integration of new technology, but the infrastructure was long outdated. The design included complete upgrades to the technology systems and a relocation of the original MPOE serving the airport.

TEECOM’s Contribution
TEECOM’s design responsibilities included a new public address system, visual paging, complete upgrade to networking switches, and design of additional telecom closets for tenant premise wiring. Additionally, all abandoned cable and racks were identified and removed. All work was phased and conducted while keeping the terminal completely operational for the flying public.
